Yair Snir

Investing in Europe and Israel, Yair leads rounds in early-stage technology companies that fall across the full spectrum of the data space ranging from underlying infrastructure up to the B2B SaaS applications running on top of it. He’s motivated by working with thoughtful founders addressing real pain points who are looking for a trusted partner as an investor. What he appreciates most about being a part of the DTC team is its focus on creating meaningful value for the long-term success of our founders.

Prior to joining DTC, Yair led business development and M&A activities for Microsoft in Europe and Israel. Before Microsoft, Yair held leadership roles with ECI Telecom (chief strategy officer) and with Rotem Strategy, one of Israel’s leading consulting firms. Earlier in his career, Yair worked in various biotech and hi-tech roles where he established R&D groups, published scientific papers, and authored several patents.

Yair holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Computational Biology from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and an MBA from Reichman University (formally known as IDC) in Herzliya, Israel. He has also regularly lectured at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and The Arison School of Business at Reichman University.

Vacation he’d like to repeat: Hike Nepal’s Annapurna basecamp again, this time with his kids along.

On repeat: Can never get tired of Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon or the Godfather trilogy.

Rockstar tendencies: Yair’s first concert was Guns N’ Roses in Tel Aviv and his go-to karaoke song is Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.
