Introducing The DTC Podcast
We’ll be the first to admit that the world probably doesn’t need another VC podcast.
Yet, there are founder stories out there that deserve to be told. And there are hard-earned lessons, insights from technology buyers, and in-the-weeds tactics that might benefit any number of others if only they were more widely shared.
So here we are, introducing The DTC Podcast – a series of conversations between just about everyone on the Dell Tech Capital team and the people who are building and buying what’s next in enterprise technologies. In this series, Deepak Jeevankumar and Radhika Malik “Exit Interview” founders who’ve taken companies through successful exits to see their technology and teams hit significant scale. Victoria Kinnealey talks with CISOs, BISOs, CIOs, and CTOs about technology needs and what it takes to sell into the enterprise. And I bring on marketing and communications leaders to talk specifics about building brand, narrative, and team in the early-stage years.
We’re kicking off with five solid episodes. In Exit Interviews, Deepak talks with RedLock co-founder Varun Badhwar and Humio co-founder Geeta Schmidt about their experiences taking their companies and teams through successful acquisitions by Palo Alto Networks and CrowdStrike respectively. And Radhika talks with Ankit Gordhandas about keeping his entrepreneurial spirit alive by building AI features after his company was acquired by Zapier.
Jump into our first episode:
Victoria brings on veteran BISO Rick Berends to talk about how early-stage companies can win his business. I follow that with a conversation with Fractional CMO Julie Crabill on strategies for technical teams in building marketing muscle.
Our aim with The DTC Podcast is to deliver content you can use while keeping the VC pontificating to a minimum. If you’re building in the enterprise tech space, we hope these episodes will be especially useful to you.
