Singulr AI: Launching an Enterprise Control Plane for the AI-is-Everywhere Era
Company journey

The enterprise AI revolution continues to gather momentum and we believe that this is the year that the enterprise will begin to see it pay off. With that comes a paradox: the same technology that promises massive efficiency gains is also introducing unprecedented risk at scale. The organizations that get this balance right will lead their industries. The ones that don’t will find themselves tangled in security gaps, compliance headaches, and runaway costs.

This is why we invested in Singulr AI.

From our first conversation with Shiv Agarwal about his plans to become a second-time founder, it was clear that he understood the challenges the enterprise was about to face with AI adoption. Businesses are not struggling to find AI tools; they’re struggling to manage them. AI services are proliferating at an astonishing rate, often outside the oversight of IT, security, and compliance teams. Employees are adopting AI faster than companies can build governance around it. The result? A growing risk surface extending from unvetted AI applications to embedded AI features being rolled out daily into just about every SaaS tool.

Singulr AI is addressing this problem head-on, providing enterprises with the visibility and control they need to adopt AI responsibly without stifling innovation. Shiv and the team innately understand that a restrictive, lock-it-down mentality didn’t work with browser and cloud-based services. It didn’t work when mobile took off. And it isn’t going to work with AI-enhanced software either.  Instead, the approach has to be: enable organizations to move fast and stay secure, ensuring AI is a value driver, not a liability.

Shiv and Abhijit Sharma have successfully built a category-defining company before with Arkin Net, a company DTC backed at the Series B in 2015. At Arkin, they built out a network visibility platform and micro segmentation platform at the start of the wave of software-defined data centers. They know what goes into building for the next near-term wave of innovation, how large organizations work and how to get traction within them.  Those attributes made them the obvious team to back to build the platform for enterprise-scale AI management.

The AI surge is real, and it’s not slowing down. Enterprises don’t just need AI adoption strategies; they need AI management strategies. We believe Singulr AI is the missing piece that will enable companies to harness the power of AI while keeping control of their data, security, and costs. Thanks to Shiv and team for bringing DTC along with them on their next journey.
